Mechanic - HVAC II

Role overview

This position focuses on keeping HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration systems operating safely and efficiently in a luxury hospitality setting. The role also involves working with mechanical plant equipment, overseeing temperature regulation across the property, tracking utility consumption, and supporting electrical, piping, and pool/spa maintenance tasks.

Key duties

• Check, service, repair, and preserve HVAC, air quality, and refrigeration equipment.
• Carry out daily reviews of the mechanical plant and keep its operations running smoothly.
• Regulate and observe property temperature conditions.
• Track, review, and manage energy and utility consumption.
• Set, test, and calibrate controls, gauges, meters, and related devices.
• Assemble, fit, install, test, and repair electrical systems and electronic wiring.
• Install and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, and connected components.
• Support regular maintenance of pools and spa facilities.

• Be able to work in overhead, confined, elevated, uneven, slippery, and stair/ladder environments.
• Handle objects of different sizes and weights, including lifting assistance for loads above 100 pounds and unassisted movement of items up to 50 pounds.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a technical, trade, or vocational school qualification and at least 3 years of related work experience. No prior supervisory experience is required. The role also requires EPA Universal Certification, an HVAC certification, and a valid driver’s license.
