Role Overview
This position supports property safety and security at a hotel in Singapore. The role focuses on protecting guests, employees, and assets while maintaining a calm, professional presence on site. It is a non-management, full-time role within the loss prevention and security function.
Key Duties
- Patrol the property, secure guest rooms, and help guests gain access when needed.
- Carry out emergency drills, routine safety and hazard checks, investigations, interviews, and key-control audits.
- Observe CCTV feeds and alarm systems, and keep watch over secured locations.
- Approve, track, and record entry to restricted areas.
- Support guests and employees during emergencies, including calling EMS or giving first aid/CPR when required.
- Collect incident details, prepare reports, and safeguard confidential records and documents.
- Handle disturbances according to company procedures and help resolve unsafe conditions.
- Address interruptions and complaints, remove unauthorized persons from the property, and ensure compliance with alcohol-control regulations.
- Use approved code responses to request help and provide required paperwork to employees.
- Assist leaders in training, motivating, coaching, and serving as a role model for the Fair Treatment/Open Door process.
- Follow company policies, complete safety training and certifications, and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a neat, professional appearance and protect company assets.
- Greet guests in line with brand standards, respond to service needs, and communicate politely and clearly with others.
- Prepare and review documents accurately, answer telephones professionally, and build positive working relationships.
- Support team goals, uphold quality standards, and complete other reasonable duties as assigned.
Physical And Working Conditions
The role requires strong physical capability and readiness to move quickly in response to incidents. Work may involve standing, sitting, or walking for long periods or for an entire shift, as well as running, walking, or jogging when situations demand it. The job may also require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects up to 50 pounds without help and more than 75 pounds with assistance. Other demands include using fine motor skills, reading small print, handling computers or point-of-sale systems, moving through narrow or elevated spaces, navigating stairs and ramps, and bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, and crouching as needed.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, at least 2 years of relevant work experience, and at least 1 year of supervisory experience. No license or certification is required. In some locations, additional local registration or licensing may still apply.
