Role Overview
Arla Foods is looking for a Logistics Team Leader in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time onsite position focuses on keeping warehouse operations running smoothly, supporting daily execution, and ensuring strong coordination across logistics, sales, planning, and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute as a flexible and dependable member of the operation team, take on daily tasks as needed, and escalate issues to the manager promptly.
- Make sure inbound and outbound processes, warehouse operations, and inventory procedures are carried out in line with the required SOPs.
- Plan the day’s work and execute operational activities accurately within the agreed parameters.
- Manage inventory movement, goods handling, warehouse records, stock accuracy, storage discipline, and timely distribution based on company procedures.
- Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders while staying aligned with customer needs.
- Coordinate closely with planners, sales, and commercial operations to help ensure orders are delivered on time.
- Prepare and hand over all required delivery paperwork and instructions before dispatch, including route plans, delivery notes, invoices, RTV documents, Bayan, and Ajeer documents.
- Receive documentation, respond to sales-related complaints, and handle different types of queries.
- Work in accordance with Arla Foods’ policies, standards, and the applicable local laws.
- Support a safe, healthy, and inclusive workplace and maintain a strong safety-first attitude.
- Protect quality and food safety standards within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Oversee maintenance needs for the warehouse, machinery, material handling equipment, and trucks.
- Adopt sustainability practices and support the company’s sustainability direction in the assigned area.
- Use data and digital tools to support better decisions and adapt to digital transformation.
- Help develop team capability by coaching and enabling team members in line with leadership expectations and company values.
- Take part in learning and development activities and promote strong leadership values.
Requirements
- Relevant education in logistics, warehousing, or an equivalent field.
- At least 2 years of experience handling goods, preferably within food products.
- Basic understanding of warehouse machinery, equipment, and fleet, with the ability to coordinate maintenance with the relevant teams.
- Intermediate English communication skills.
- Intermediate IT skills, including MS Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
- Basic working knowledge of Power BI.
- Basic awareness of AI tools and concepts.
- Intermediate-level experience with SAP applications such as EWM, ERP (ECC), BW reports, and RFUI.
Additional Information
This role requires strong attention to warehouse processes, stock control, documentation accuracy, team development, and compliance with company, food safety, and safety standards. The position also involves working with modern digital tools and maintaining a continuous improvement mindset.
