Role Overview

This position is for a Logistics Manager in Dubai, responsible for handling end-to-end shipping and cargo movement activities. The role focuses on rate negotiation, shipment planning, operational coordination, and timely issue resolution to keep freight flowing efficiently.

Core Responsibilities

• Work with shipping lines and freight forwarders to obtain and lock in competitive freight pricing.
• Arrange container positioning for cargo loading as per shipment needs.
• Track cargo movement closely so deliveries stay on schedule.
• Manage shipping activity to ensure smooth and efficient cargo execution.
• Prepare vessel booking plans according to shipment timelines and requirements.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, transport providers, and customers to keep logistics processes running effectively.
• Address shipping and logistics disruptions quickly to reduce delays and avoid extra costs.
• Keep shipping documentation accurate and ensure adherence to relevant regulations.

Shipment Scope

Shipments originate from the Far East, including Indonesia, Singapore, and China, as well as Indian ports such as Mumbai, Chennai, Tuticorin, Cochin, Calcutta, Mundra, Kandla, JNPT, Ennore, and Visakhapatnam. The freight is moved to ports across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the United States. The role involves managing approximately 200,000 to 300,000 tons of paper per year.
