Opportunity

This role sits within OKX’s effort to broaden its DeFi and Web3 product offerings beyond traditional exchange trading. The team is building a decentralized platform for Web3 users, and this position will help define product direction, improve transaction journeys, and shape how data and features are presented to a global audience.

You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Research, Writing, and Brand teams to create intuitive experiences that make complex crypto actions easier for both new and experienced users.

What you will do

• Turn input from Product, Engineering, and Marketing into clear design outputs, keeping design involved throughout the product lifecycle.
• Take ownership of design challenges end to end, starting from research findings and moving through concepts, workflows, and interaction details.
• Create wireframes, user journeys, journey maps, polished mockups, prototypes, and research-driven evaluations to support development.
• Work with Product and Engineering teams across Asia and globally to define initiatives and build user-focused solutions.
• Partner with UX Research, UX Writing, Brand, and Product leadership to help shape the design direction for your area.
• Improve design quality through reviews, presentations, feedback sessions, and design-thinking workshops.
• Guide and mentor other designers on quality, process, and craft.
• Use both qualitative and quantitative data to inform and validate design decisions.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Product Design, Interaction Design, UX Design, or a similar discipline.
• Hands-on experience designing complex fintech, crypto, or web3 products, with the ability to solve problems from a blank slate.
• Strong interest in DeFi, DEX trading, crypto wallets, token swaps, cross-chain bridges, and the broader decentralized finance space.
• Ability to simplify sophisticated crypto workflows for both beginners and advanced traders.
• Excellent communication and the confidence to explain and defend design choices.
• Experience collaborating with designers, product managers, engineers, writers, and researchers in cross-functional teams.
• Strong user-centered design judgment and the ability to think critically about product experience.
• Comfort working in a fast-changing, outcome-driven environment.
• Good knowledge of research and experimentation methods, with the ability to validate designs independently.
• A portfolio that shows range, quality, and growth across your design career.

Nice to have

• Background in fintech, investment platforms, or crypto products.
• Experience working across multiple offices and time zones.
• Understanding of the React front-end framework.
• Experience running design thinking workshops or design sprints with stakeholders and leadership.
