Lead Creative Strategist

About the Role

New Engen is a performance-focused digital marketing agency that helps brands grow more intelligently by connecting media, creative, analytics, influencer, and retail strategies across the customer journey. The role sits within Donut Studios, the company’s internal creative studio built to produce platform-native, high-performing digital content for ambitious brands.

As part of a collaborative team of strategists, creators, copywriters, editors, designers, and account partners, you will help shape breakthrough creative that is built to perform. This position is intended for a remote or hybrid setup, with flexible hours and a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do

• Create creative and messaging strategies that support growth across digital channels such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and display.
• Build strategic frameworks that guide concept development and ensure ideas are grounded in performance data and audience relevance.
• Act as the creative strategy point person for assigned clients, joining client meetings and presenting guidance on creative direction, campaign opportunities, and platform best practices.
• Interpret audience mindsets, behaviors, and attitudes to shape concepts that connect with users and support campaign goals across the customer journey.
• Work with media teams to review results, identify optimization opportunities, and refine messaging and future concepts based on KPIs and feedback.
• Coordinate launch timelines and dependencies with media partners so deliverables are reviewed, completed, and shared on schedule.
• Write clear creative briefs and manage assignments through tools such as Asana and Slack.
• Review scripts, concepts, and final assets to confirm they align with brand standards, client expectations, and campaign objectives.
• Improve collaboration across creative, media, and client teams by building smooth workflows and information-sharing processes.

Experience and Skills Needed

This role calls for a seasoned creative strategist with strong direct response and social creative experience, ideally from a creative or performance marketing agency. The ideal candidate is digitally fluent, trend-aware, and comfortable shaping work for fast-moving platforms and audiences.

Location and Work Style

New Engen supports a distributed workforce across the country and also maintains offices in Seattle, New York, and Northwest Arkansas. Full-time hiring is currently available in Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $80,000 to $90,000 per year. Final pay will depend on qualifications and experience.
