Lead Buyer

About the Role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an experienced Lead Buyer to manage the procurement of IT/SAP Power User functionalities, material codifications, and other essential packages for their EPC power projects. This role demands a deep understanding of procurement procedures, SAP operations, and IT infrastructure. The Lead Buyer will collaborate with project teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure procurement processes are both effective and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the entire supplier lifecycle, including identification, evaluation, and negotiation to secure optimal pricing and terms.
• Perform detailed cost analyses to make informed procurement decisions that minimize expenses while upholding quality standards.
• Develop, review, and negotiate supplier contracts, ensuring alignment with project needs and risk mitigation.
• Conduct continuous market research to stay abreast of industry developments, market dynamics, and emerging technologies, informing procurement strategies.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other internal departments to guarantee the timely procurement and integration of necessary packages into ongoing projects.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to contractual agreements.
• Generate and present comprehensive reports on procurement activities, supplier effectiveness, and market insights to senior management.
