Landscape Foreperson

Role overview

BruZiv Landscaping LLC is a locally owned company providing full-service landscaping and snow removal support in the Mentor, Ohio area. The team is seeking an experienced, dependable, and hands-on foreperson/field supervisor who can guide a crew, understand landscaping equipment and terminology, and help deliver quality service across multiple job sites in Painesville, OH.

This role is suited to someone who can lead in the field, work closely with a small crew, and stay effective in all weather conditions while handling both landscaping and snow/ice management work.

Scope of work

• Oversee and direct a crew of 2 to 4 team members on landscaping and snow removal assignments.
• Support daily work across lawn care, landscaping, softscape work, hardscaping, and snow/ice management.
• Use landscaping tools, hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and effectively.
• Coordinate customer-facing work while maintaining professional communication and service standards.

Required background

• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required.
• At least 4 years of snow plowing experience using a truck and/or machinery is required.
• Prior experience leading a crew of 2 to 4 workers is expected.
• Hands-on experience with landscaping machinery such as skid steers, tractors, walk-behind equipment, bed edgers, and zero-turn mowers is needed.
• Experience with tools such as trimmers, chainsaws, and similar equipment is required.
• Background in bed enhancements, including plants, flowers, trees, mulching, new turf installation, mulch/gravel/plants/lawn installation, is important.
• Experience operating snow equipment such as V-plows, snow-rators, snow blowers, and salt boxes is required.
• Knowledge of irrigation repair is preferred and construction, outdoor lighting, and retaining walls knowledge is helpful.

• Be comfortable staying on your feet for the full workday in all weather conditions.
• Be able to lift 50+ pounds throughout the day.
• Be open to overtime and weekend work when needed, especially during snow removal periods.
• Arrive punctually and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
• Show strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
• Communicate clearly in both verbal and written formats.
• Provide customer service and engage professionally with clients.

Employment details

This is a full-time, on-site position with work across multiple locations. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays. Snow removal work may require weekend availability. Shifts typically run 8 to 12 hours, and the expected workload is 35+ hours per week.

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position is $21 to $25 per hour, based on experience. Bonus pay may be available.
