Jefferies is a major global investment banking and capital markets firm with a particularly strong and active Technology franchise. The team supports entrepreneurs, private equity sponsors, and public companies on a wide range of strategic and financial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, follow-on offerings, private fundraisings, and other advisory mandates.

As the European Technology business continues to grow, the firm is looking for a driven Junior Vice President to join its London team.

Role Overview

The Junior Vice President will be central to executing M&A and capital markets transactions, while also helping to originate and deepen client relationships across the technology landscape. In this position, you will work alongside senior bankers and help direct Analysts and Associates across live deals and business development work.

The opportunity provides broad exposure to technology businesses, private equity investors, and fast-growing companies operating in software, fintech, internet, IT services, infrastructure software, cybersecurity, and wider digital markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the day-to-day delivery of mergers and acquisitions, strategic advisory, and equity and debt financing transactions.
• Coordinate transaction workstreams and keep internal and external parties aligned throughout the deal lifecycle.
• Prepare and review financial analysis, valuation materials, pitch decks, information memoranda, management presentations, and board papers.
• Build advanced financial models such as merger models, LBOs, DCFs, and accretion/dilution analyses.
• Assist senior bankers with client coverage and business development efforts.
• Take part in client meetings, management presentations, investor conversations, and negotiation processes.
• Research companies and industries to uncover strategic opportunities and market developments.
• Provide direction on the output of Analysts and Associates to maintain a high standard of work.
• Support the coaching and development of junior colleagues while contributing to a team-oriented culture.
• Develop and sustain relationships with company leaders, private equity sponsors, investors, lawyers, and other market participants.

Qualifications and Experience

This position calls for a candidate with substantial investment banking experience in the Technology sector, ideally gained at a leading investment bank or advisory firm.

You should also have a strong record of completing complex M&A and capital markets transactions, along with solid financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.

The role requires the ability to manage several transaction workstreams at the same time, as well as excellent written and verbal communication, strong client-facing presentation skills, close attention to detail, and the ability to perform under tight deadlines in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
