Junior Criminal Analyst

Role overview

Dynamis, Inc. is hiring a Junior Criminal Analyst to support a high-profile HSI Worksite Enforcement Unit mission focused on protecting the integrity of the U.S. workforce. In this position, you will work closely with HSI special agents to review employment and business records, compare them with government and commercial data sources, and help build investigative outputs used in enforcement actions. The role is fast-moving, highly detail-oriented, and central to producing case material that can support Notices of Inspection, Notices of Intent to Fine, and related court-approved actions.

This opportunity provides an entry-level pathway into federal law enforcement investigations, with direct mentorship from experienced investigators and room to grow into more advanced compliance and investigative work.

Key duties

• Review employer Form I-9 records, payroll information, corporate documents, and other employment-related files to identify compliance issues and possible violations of federal immigration employment rules while coordinating closely with investigators.
• Search and compare law enforcement and commercial databases to uncover patterns, inconsistencies, and anomalies that strengthen active or emerging cases.
• Prepare precise, well-supported case summaries, analytical findings, and reports that can withstand review and assist enforcement efforts.
• Support coordination with national and international investigative programs, initiatives, and partner organizations.
• Organize and maintain case files carefully in line with DHS/ICE privacy and data-handling requirements, helping detect potential violations of employment eligibility and workplace compliance laws.
• Assemble briefing packets and analytical support materials for site visits, enforcement actions, and leadership meetings.

Required qualifications

The position calls for a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business administration, public administration, law, or a closely related discipline. Candidates should also bring 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in compliance, investigations, legal support, immigration services, or a similar field.

Strong analytical and research ability is essential, along with the capacity to review and consolidate large amounts of documentation and data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed for producing analytical outputs and coordinating with federal law enforcement personnel. The role also requires the ability to accurately enter large volumes of paper records into electronic systems and run database searches across law enforcement and commercial platforms to support reporting.

Applicants must be able to obtain and keep an ICE suitability determination and must be U.S. citizens.

Preferred background

Experience with federal law enforcement or regulatory agencies is strongly valued. Familiarity with employment eligibility verification, including Form I-9 compliance and E-Verify, is an advantage. Prior exposure to HSI, ICE, or other DHS operations, as well as experience handling sensitive or law-enforcement-controlled information, is also preferred. Comfort with government databases or investigative case management systems would be beneficial.
