Role Summary
Because the business is expanding, CAS is seeking an experienced International Logistics Coordinator. The position sits at the centre of international freight activity, ensuring shipments are managed efficiently, move on schedule, and remain compliant with both domestic and overseas requirements. The work is best suited to someone who enjoys a busy environment, values teamwork, and is comfortable balancing customer service with problem-solving.
Key Duties
- Act as the main contact for customers, responding to freight queries and resolving issues quickly and professionally.
- Work with overseas agents, carriers, cargo terminals, and other stakeholders to keep shipments progressing without delay.
- Prepare pricing quotes based on client requirements and make sure invoices are accurate.
- Submit cargo reports within required timeframes to support compliance and reduce the risk of penalties.
- Ensure all import, export, domestic, and security obligations are met.
- Partner with internal teams to confirm documentation and processes are in place for safe and timely cargo handling.
What You’ll Need
- Background in logistics operations, freight forwarding, or international supply chain coordination.
- Strong communication skills and experience working with different stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
- Good organisation and the ability to perform well under pressure.
- A proactive, customer-first mindset with solid troubleshooting ability.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in the Australian international logistics and customs brokerage sector.
- At least 3 years of international logistics experience in Australia working with a freight forwarder.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Exposure to CargoWise One is preferred, though not mandatory.
- Advanced skills in Excel and Office 365.
- Strong customer service capabilities with a friendly and positive approach.
- A current police check, or the ability to complete one immediately.
