Role overview
Virtusa is hiring an Inside Sales Specialist in Andhra Pradesh, India. This role focuses on outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and supporting sales conversion efforts for multiple industry verticals.
What you will do
- Run outbound outreach programs using calls and emails, and be prepared to work during US and Canada business hours.
- Understand customer requirements, respond to queries from prospects, and share follow-up information by email.
- Build and keep prospect data current by researching leads and identifying the right decision-makers.
- Develop enough domain and solution knowledge to address objections raised by potential customers.
- Pass qualified opportunities to the right sales team members for deeper engagement and closing.
- Work toward the sales targets assigned by the business.
- Keep prospect records updated in tools such as Salesforce, CRM systems, and Excel.
What the role calls for
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with active listening ability.
- Prior experience in US or Canada calling.
- Exposure to ISV, tech, BFSI, healthcare, manufacturing, and telecom verticals.
- Good understanding of the company’s services and how they are positioned in the market.
- Experience selling IT services to sectors such as healthcare, life sciences, insurance, telecom, media, hi-tech, BFS, manufacturing, and retail.
- Hands-on familiarity with CRM and prospect research tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn, and ZoomInfo.
- Proven ability in identifying and qualifying opportunities, drafting emails, and planning calls before outreach.
- Capability to diagnose issues quickly and handle objections effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and use time efficiently.
- Comfort working independently as well as collaboratively, with strong integrity and work ethics.
