Implementation Consultant

Role Overview

This role is for an Implementation Consultant based in Khobar City, Saudi Arabia, with a hybrid workplace setup. The position focuses on deploying, setting up, configuring, and tailoring technical and business process solutions for client purchases or outsourced technology services. The consultant is expected to work largely on their own while following Smart Services Methodology (SSM) standards and procedures.

The work covers Hexagon customer implementations across cyber technology and engineering software products, including Automation Integrity, ControlWizard, Cyber Integrity, and PlantState Integrity.

What You Will Do

• Support clients with installing and configuring Hexagon products both at customer sites and remotely.
• Carry out project execution tasks such as technology deployment, script configuration, and data collection and processing.
• Provide technical help to customers throughout implementation activities.
• Train client teams on using and administering Hexagon solutions.
• Prepare and maintain project documents such as site completion and installation reports, functional requirements, design records, and lessons learned.
• Validate installed systems through testing and troubleshooting.
• Identify and record technical issues for escalation to product and system integration teams.
• Send required information to Technical Support within agreed timelines.
• Maintain a professional approach when dealing with customers.
• Share feedback from client engagements to support product and process enhancement.
• Work independently as well as with internal teams to resolve implementation issues quickly.
• Collaborate with implementation services, Technical Support, and other stakeholders to complete installation projects successfully.
• Submit project expenses, timesheets, and recurring activity reports on time.
• Follow Integrity work procedures, quality expectations, and delivery templates.
• Apply industrial control system cyber-security best practices and relevant industry standards.
• Support the services team with back-office tasks when needed.
• Take part in pre-sales activities when required.
• Recommend better implementation strategies and execution approaches to technical and project teams.

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a STEM-related technical field such as Computer Science, Cyber Security, Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Technology is required, along with relevant industry experience.

Applicants should have hands-on experience in designing, assessing, advising on, and implementing software solutions; working with operating systems in server environments; creating and editing scripts or batch jobs; and installing/configuring Microsoft SQL. Practical knowledge of process control and Industrial Control Systems is also expected.

The role also calls for familiarity with basic and advanced networking concepts, including IP addressing, network devices such as routers and switches, and common protocols like Telnet, FTP/FTPS, and HTTP/HTTPS. Strong skills in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, are needed, along with fluent spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications

A master’s degree in an engineering or STEM-related field is preferred. Additional advantages include experience in process control and ICS environments, cloud virtualization platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure, and mentoring or coaching professionals.

Other preferred strengths include understanding of the Purdue Model for ICS networking, as well as certifications such as Cisco-related credentials, CCNA, CISSP, and MCSE. Familiarity with application programming tools and languages such as VBScript, Python, and Power BI is also beneficial.

Work Location and Travel

The engineer is expected to be based in Saudi Arabia and travel for around 70% of business hours to multiple client sites across Jubail, Udhailiyah, Ras Tanura, Jazan, and Yanbu.
