About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Housekeeping Assistant to support a premium retirement village environment in Warwick, England. The role is focused on helping maintain welcoming, comfortable, and high-quality living spaces for residents, while contributing to a friendly, community-centered workplace.
This position suits someone who takes pride in detailed work, enjoys keeping spaces spotless and presentable, and can help uphold the standards expected in residents’ homes and shared areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep assigned areas clean, orderly, hygienic, and inviting.
- Carry out housekeeping tasks in residents’ homes with respect, care, and discretion.
- Ensure shared spaces remain tidy, well maintained, and attractive.
- Vacuum, shampoo carpets, and polish furniture, fittings, and wood surfaces as needed.
- Remove waste and replace bin liners while following proper disposal methods.
- Clean accessible windows and glass surfaces.
- Handle laundry tasks efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
- Follow COSHH requirements and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
Requirements
- Experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or a similar support role is required.
- Must be self-driven, approachable, and able to communicate well with residents, colleagues, and visitors.
- Should be adaptable and comfortable responding to changing priorities and rota patterns.
- A working awareness of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards is preferred; training will be provided.
