Role overview
A public sector organisation in South Dublin is hiring a Grants Administrator to support the day-to-day administration of grant schemes. The assignment needs to begin immediately, with the chosen candidate expected to start without delay.
Working arrangement and contract details
This is a temporary appointment for an initial period of 4 months. The role is based onsite in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland. The standard working week is 35 hours, Monday to Friday. The annual salary is €31,921. The successful candidate will receive 22 days of annual leave per year and payment for bank holidays.
Role purpose
The role is focused on delivering thorough administrative and operational support for grant scheme administration, with an emphasis on accurate processing, adherence to scheme rules, and strong governance standards.
Key duties
- Handle grant applications from submission through approval and payment, ensuring they are processed in line with the relevant scheme requirements.
- Prepare, review, and process grant-related data accurately.
- Check and reconcile grant information to confirm it is complete and correct.
- Keep records, databases, and grant management systems up to date.
- Respond to applicants with clear, customer-focused guidance and clarification on grant schemes.
- Produce reports, returns, and supporting documentation, often within tight deadlines.
- Work with internal teams and outside partners as needed to support grant administration.
- Manage emails, correspondence, and other grant-related queries.
- Take part in team and other relevant meetings when required.
- Prepare and issue office documents such as correspondence and reports to a consistently high standard.
- Protect the confidentiality of records, documents, and sensitive information at all times.
- Use technology efficiently to complete work to a high standard and within expected timelines.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned from time to time.
Skills, competencies, and experience
Applicants should have experience in administrative work or grant-related administration. The role also calls for strong organisational ability, excellent attention to detail, the capacity to manage deadlines and shifting priorities, and confident written and verbal communication. Good numeracy, sound data-handling ability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are important. Candidates should be able to plan work methodically and use Microsoft Office tools effectively, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Experience with databases or grant management systems would be an advantage, and a flexible attitude with a willingness to learn is also valued.
