Graduate Mechanical Engineer

Role overview

This opportunity is part of a wider effort to develop local engineering talent in the UAE. The position is based in Abu Dhabi and is aimed at recent graduates with a Mechanical Engineering background.

Core purpose

The role supports the engineering function across projects and broader business activities, contributing as needed to day-to-day discipline engineering work.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering in a relevant discipline from a recognized university is required.
• A master’s degree in a related discipline would be considered a strong advantage.

Experience

• Up to 3 years of Oil & Gas experience is expected.
• Prior experience working in the region will be an advantage.
• Oil & Gas design experience is also preferred.

Technical knowledge and skills

• Strong academic grounding in Mechanical Engineering and/or Piping Engineering design.
• Exposure to 2D and 3D CADD tools will be beneficial.
• Experience with PDS or a similar platform is an added plus.
• Understanding of basic engineering workflows and processes.
• Working knowledge of international codes, standards, and engineering best practices.
• Ability to apply foundational design concepts in practical work.
• Capability to analyze technical engineering issues.
• Skill in preparing non-critical engineering design documentation.
• Ability to produce engineering deliverables in line with internal technical competency requirements.
