Role overview
This position is designed for engineering graduates who are beginning their careers and want to build capability across a defined discipline. The role focuses on guided learning, practical exposure, and gradual readiness to handle responsibilities independently.
What the role involves
- Learn in a structured way to develop strong knowledge in the assigned discipline and build basic awareness of related disciplines.
- Carry out tasks under the direction and supervision of an assigned mentor.
- Observe and support entry-level work in the relevant discipline until the confidence and competence are developed to take independent charge.
HSE compliance and safety learning
- Understand OMS requirements and apply them in day-to-day work.
- Consistently follow all safety instructions, rules, and site guidelines.
- Gain working knowledge of safety practices such as PTW, TBRA, PHA, TBT, RCA, and other methods needed to perform work independently.
Technical learning and discipline knowledge
- Learn to interpret P&ID, PFD, isometrics, GA drawings, and other engineering documents.
- Study the SOPs, SMPs, BMPs, operating manuals, emergency procedures, and other plant/discipline documents assigned to the role.
- Develop an understanding of DCS, PIB, instrumentation, power distribution systems, SLDs, and related technical areas.
- Build the technical depth needed to handle entry-level responsibilities on an independent basis.
Systems and process understanding
- Develop the ability to use key IT and business systems such as SAP, MOC, IM, RCoW, OMPRO, and similar tools needed for job execution.
- Build a clear understanding of the company systems and processes that support effective operations.
- Actively look for learning opportunities to grow skills that are useful across the hydrocarbons sector.
Planning, coordination, and stakeholder support
- Develop project planning and work management capabilities for operations and maintenance activities.
- Learn how to oversee contractors, assign resources according to task requirements, and monitor progress.
- Work with teams across disciplines and with external stakeholders while understanding integration points for smooth execution.
Business awareness and values
- Build awareness of refining and petrochemical operations, equipment, and industry developments.
- Gain basic understanding of sales and product management concepts relevant to polymer, rubber, and textile businesses.
- Demonstrate customer focus, respect, integrity, and excellence in every interaction.
- Adhere to the organization’s ethics policy at all times.
Education and experience
A bachelor's degree in the relevant engineering discipline is required. Candidates should have 0 to 2 years of experience and must have secured at least 60% in graduation.
