Role overview
Amazon Operations is growing, and this position is a chance to join a team focused on delivering strong results while keeping work engaging and customer-focused. As a Fulfillment Center Supervisor, you will lead shift operations within a first mile fulfillment center, middle mile sortation center, or final mile delivery station. The role sits at the center of the operational flow and helps ensure customer orders move smoothly through every stage.
This is a dynamic position with changing priorities, where each day brings different challenges and responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain a safe work environment by spotting and addressing safety risks across your area.
- Coach, guide, and develop Associates so the team can deliver excellent service.
- Make sure customer orders are completed in line with quality expectations and safety standards.
- Share important shift updates with frontline managers and operators on an ongoing basis.
- Rebalance labor across the shift to stay aligned with plans and forecasts.
- Work with support teams and other departments to resolve recurring issues such as process readiness, 5S, safety, and training.
- Use data analysis, innovation, and process improvement to help solve logistics and supply chain problems.
Basic qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and remain standing or walking for shifts that may last up to 12 hours.
- Comfort with frequent physical movement, including pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching.
- Willingness to work 40 hours per week, with overtime when needed.
- Minimum education level of high school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
- Availability for flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methods.
