About the Brand

Calonie is an expanding premium outerwear label for children, focused on creating apparel that combines fresh style with practical function. The brand is seeking a skilled fashion designer to contribute to upcoming collections and help turn new concepts into market-ready products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop seasonal collections for children’s outerwear and related apparel.
• Prepare technical drawings and complete design documentation for each style.
• Study trends across fashion, colors, prints, and the wider market to guide design direction.
• Invent new silhouettes, trims, fabric ideas, and graphic treatments.
• Partner with development and production teams to move concepts through to manufacturing.
• Support color planning, print concepts, and the storytelling behind each collection.

Requirements

• Background in apparel collection design, with preference for experience in children’s wear, outerwear, sportswear, or lifestyle brands.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates original product design work.
• Advanced ability to use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Solid knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and production methods.
• Capability to build professional tech packs and detailed design specifications.
• Strong eye for color, trends, and brand positioning.

Nice to Have

• Previous work in children’s apparel.
• Experience with outerwear, puffer jackets, fleece, or activewear.
• Familiarity with sustainable materials and performance fabrics.

Project Details

This is a freelance/contract assignment that can be done remotely, with flexible working hours. There is potential for continued collaboration based on project needs.
