Role overview

Taltran Global is seeking an FP&A Manager for a privately held, private equity-supported organization that is scaling quickly and moving through a significant phase of expansion and operational change. The business already produces more than $350M in annual revenue and is on track to grow to $650M+ in the coming years.

As the company expands, leadership is putting major focus on strengthening finance systems, reporting, forecasting, and business intelligence so the organization can support its next stage of growth.

This role will partner closely with the CFO and executive team to help design, expand, and improve the financial planning and analysis function. The position will be central to budgeting, forecasting, reporting, strategic planning, and decision support across a complex multi-entity environment.

Unlike a traditional FP&A role that mainly maintains existing workflows, this opportunity is geared toward building and standardizing the planning infrastructure that will support long-term scale. It also offers strong exposure to senior leadership, strategic projects, and initiatives that directly affect business performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Own or significantly lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles.
  • Create, refine, and maintain financial models that guide operational and strategic decisions.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting materials, KPI dashboards, and performance updates for leadership.
  • Carry out monthly and quarterly variance reviews, highlighting key patterns, risks, and opportunities.
  • Work with department heads to deliver financial insight and support performance improvement efforts.
  • Contribute to board, lender, investor, and executive reporting requirements.
  • Assist with strategic planning, scenario modeling, and growth-related initiatives.
  • Help improve finance processes, reporting quality, and automation across the function.
  • Support acquisition integration work and planning for new business initiatives.
  • Build scalable FP&A processes and reporting structures for a fast-growing organization.

What the company is looking for

  • At least 5-10+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, or a closely related area.
  • Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical ability.
  • Hands-on experience leading or heavily supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Skill in turning financial data into clear, actionable business insight.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Comfort working in fast-moving environments where priorities can shift quickly.
  • A self-starter attitude with strong ownership and accountability.

Preferred background

  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, business services, engineering, construction, distribution, infrastructure, or similarly operational sectors.
  • Exposure to multi-entity or multi-business-unit structures.
  • Background in private equity-backed, high-growth, or acquisition-focused organizations.
  • Experience with acquisition integrations, transformation work, or strategic initiatives.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable ERP and reporting platforms.
  • MBA, CFA, CPA, or another advanced finance qualification is advantageous.

Why this role stands out

This is a chance to have visible influence in a business that is actively investing in its future. The FP&A Manager will work directly with executive leadership, contribute to high-impact strategic work, and help shape the finance infrastructure that supports the company’s next stage of growth.

The right candidate will enjoy building processes, improving reporting, partnering with operations, and taking on work that goes beyond conventional FP&A responsibilities. It is a strong fit for a finance professional seeking broader ownership, increased visibility, and long-term growth in a fast-evolving organization.

Location

Austin, Texas is preferred with a hybrid schedule. Remote flexibility may be considered for outstanding candidates.
