Food Processing Operative

About the Role

Riverway Foods in Harlow is hiring a full-time, permanent Food Processing Operative to support its expanding factory operation. The work is based in a chilled production setting and reports to a line leader.

The company has a long-standing family heritage, with a focus on quality since 1971. It became part of the CPC Group in 2018 and is known for producing sausages made with high-welfare British pork, supplied to major retailers including Aldi and Tesco.

Working Hours and Pay

Pay starts at £13.13 per hour and increases to £13.39 per hour after training. Weekly pay is offered. The shift runs from 06:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday.

Key Duties

• Operate scanning and other system-based tasks as part of the production process.
• Keep the production area clean, orderly, and safe for efficient working.
• Coordinate with colleagues to help maintain smooth line flow.
• Carry out tasks in a chilled food environment.

Experience and Working Requirements

• Prior experience in a factory or manufacturing setting is preferred.
• You should be able to remain on your feet for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions are important.
• Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude are needed.
• The role includes some heavy lifting.
