Role overview

This finance graduate opportunity is designed for motivated, analytically strong graduates who want to understand how a large-scale finance organization operates within a global business. The program offers direct exposure to financial systems, controls, and processes behind a high-volume international operation, along with the chance to contribute ideas, work across teams, and take ownership from the outset.

The position is based in Munich, Germany, and is structured as a 24-month graduate program with three rotations of 8 months each. It is intended to accelerate your development into a finance career through hands-on work, coaching from senior leaders and mentors, and access to technical and foundational learning.

Graduate program structure

• Program start is set for September 2026.
• Total duration is 24 months, divided into three 8-month rotations.
• Main location is Munich, with possible international experience for some rotations.
• You will move through cross-functional assignments.
• The role includes collaboration on international projects.
• You are expected to take ownership and responsibility from day one, including contributing to process improvements in your area.
• Training support includes finance fundamentals, technical courses, and German language classes.
• At the end of the program, you will have the opportunity to choose your next career step within a global internal network.

Rotation areas

Based on your background, interests, and skill set, you may rotate through three of the following finance functions:

• Commercial Finance: Manage financial responsibility for a multi-million-dollar product line in a retail category, support retail P&L and key performance metrics, use core retail finance systems, and collaborate with business teams to improve customer experience.
• Finance for logistics operations: Work in planning and analysis, act as a finance partner to operations, build analysis and insights that connect data with operational performance, estimate future scenarios, and influence business decisions.
• Finance Operations: Learn working capital management across accounts receivable and accounts payable, support vendor management for selected categories, work with finance tools and systems, and lead large-scale process improvement initiatives.
• Accounting: Gain exposure to financial reporting activities such as month-end close, statutory reporting, and external audits, while also helping automate manual work and strengthening your understanding of financial statements.

Eligibility and application profile

This opportunity is aimed at final-year students or recent graduates who have completed their degree within the last 24 months. Applicants should already have some practical finance experience, such as internships or working-student roles, and must have the legal right to work in Germany.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or Mathematics.
• You should be in your final year or have graduated within the last 24 months.
• Prior practical exposure to finance, for example through internships or working-student positions.
• Strong Excel capability, including functions such as VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and Pivot Tables.
• Fluency in English at C1-C2 level.
• Permission to work in the country of employment.

Preferred profile

• A master’s degree, or current enrollment in one.
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving ability.
• Familiarity with data tools such as SQL, Power BI, or VBA.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView, PowerPivot, MicroStrategy, or Amazon QuickSight.
• Interest in artificial intelligence and its applications.
• A curious, proactive mindset and comfort working in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and drive results.
