About the role
An ambitious founder-led drinks business is hiring a Finance and Operations Associate to join the team at a key stage of expansion. This position offers close partnership with the founders and broad exposure across operations, finance, commercial activity, and growth initiatives.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys a busy environment, solves problems proactively, and wants to contribute meaningfully to the development of a brand from the inside out.
What you'll do
- Work as a dependable extension of the founders across day-to-day business activity.
- Take ownership of core operational work such as managing orders, coordinating logistics, and resolving customer issues.
- Support stock planning and communication with suppliers.
- Keep financial records up to date and help maintain costing and margin analysis models.
- Assist with cash flow tracking and commercial decision-making.
- Drive or support strategic initiatives including product launches, trade events, and improvements to internal processes.
- Gradually take on responsibilities that are currently handled by the founders.
What the business is looking for
- Previous experience in a startup, scale-up, consumer brand, or similarly fast-growing environment.
- Strong organisational skills and a sharp eye for detail.
- Comfort working with finance topics such as unit economics, margins, and costing, as well as operational areas like inventory and logistics.
- Experience with tools such as Xero, Unleashed, Prospect, or Mintsoft would be beneficial, though not essential.
- A commercial mindset supported by solid analytical ability.
- Ability to juggle several projects and priorities at once.
- Self-motivated, practical, and capable of working independently.
- Comfort with uncertainty and interest in helping build a business from the ground up.
- Confident communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Entrepreneurial thinking and a hands-on approach.
Compensation and benefits
- Salary in the range of £30,000 to £40,000 depending on experience.
- Bonus opportunity of 5% to 10%.
