The position supports smooth daily operations, team coordination, inventory control, training, and compliance with hygiene and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure every kitchen outlet consistently meets the highest hygiene and sanitation standards in line with health department and stewarding requirements.
  • Oversee all ware-washing activities and the cleaning of food preparation spaces.
  • Check equipment regularly to confirm it is properly maintained and functioning well.
  • Track stock levels for chinaware, glassware, flatware, service items, and specialty equipment, then raise requests for replenishment when needed.

  • Ensure buffet equipment is polished and ready before being placed on the buffet line.
  • Verify that dishwashing areas are adequately staffed.

Requirements

  • A diploma or degree in hospitality or a related discipline is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of stewarding or similar janitorial experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a multi-unit environment.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience covering banquet operations from setup through breakdown.
