Experienced Hotel Reservations Agent

Role Overview

Grand Hotel Malahide, a four-star property within the FBD Hotels & Resorts group, is seeking an experienced Reservations Agent to join the Sales & Reservations team in Malahide, Ireland. This position is intended for applicants with prior experience in a similar hotel reservations environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day reservations activity and manage booking requests.
• Support other reservation staff with individual guest enquiries and bookings.
• Work in line with hotel SOPs and wider company policies.
• Maintain a consistently high standard of customer service.
• Help drive yield management to support accommodation targets and maximise occupancy across both properties.
• Assist with accurate room inventory control.
• Use the hotel’s direct CMS, OTA extranets, and channel manager for rate loading, guest communication, and post-stay feedback handling.
• Support the Manager with departmental reporting for both properties.
• Manage rate codes, group booking tools, and system usage effectively.
• Assist the Departmental Manager in the daily running of the department for both hotels.

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience in a comparable reservations role within a hotel setting is required.
• Ability to stay organised and prioritise tasks in a busy, fast-moving environment.
• Strong accuracy and close attention to detail.
• Adaptable to changing daily priorities and demands.
• Customer-oriented with a strong service mindset.
• Well-developed communication and organisational abilities.
• Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative independently.
