Position overview
Folsom Cordova Unified School District is seeking an Expanded Learning Team Assistant to help extend student learning outside the regular school day. The role involves supporting academic, enrichment, and recreational activities while helping create a safe and engaging environment for students.
Work schedule and compensation
This is a part-time onsite position with a 9.75-month work year. The schedule is 3.5 hours per day, five days each week, from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Pay is set at $20.00 to $24.09 per hour. The expected start date is July 30, 2026, and the application deadline is June 24, 2026.
Location
The posting covers multiple Folsom school sites, including Blanche Sprentz, Carl Sundahl, Empire Oaks, Mangini Ranch, Oak Chan, and Theodore Judah Elementary Schools.

Role summary
Working under the guidance of an assigned supervisor, the assistant supports student learning through a mix of academic, enrichment, and recreational programming. The position also includes routine clerical tasks and direct student engagement through active, meaningful experiences.
Minimum qualifications
Candidates should have any combination equivalent to high school graduation along with sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities. Before hire, applicants must pass the District Instructional Assistant Proficiency Exam and meet CPR/First Aid certification requirements.
Conditional employment requirements
- Department of Justice criminal background check
- TB test completed within the past 60 days, as required by Education Code 49406 and Assembly Bill 1667
- Completion of district-mandated reporter training, sexual harassment training, and similar required modules
- Maintenance of a First Aid/CPR certificate obtained through in-person training only
