Descrizione del lavoro
Role Overview
This position leads two peer communities for senior talent and HR professionals: the Talent Management Collective (TMC) and EdgePoint. The core focus is community growth and relationship-building—bringing in the right members, fostering meaningful connections, and creating communities that members value deeply.
The ideal candidate brings strong credibility in talent management or HR, understands the priorities of senior people leaders, and is highly attuned to interpersonal dynamics. This role calls for someone with strong emotional intelligence, initiative, and a genuine drive to convene people. The Executive Director will set direction for both communities, oversee their overall health, manage a Community Manager, and contribute directly through member outreach, facilitation, hosting, and leadership programming.
Location and Reporting
Based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, with a hybrid work setup and limited travel. Preference is given to candidates in the Tri-State New York City area. The role reports to the CEO.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $160,000 to $180,000 annually, along with performance bonuses tied to community growth. Bonus potential is uncapped.
Key Responsibilities
The Executive Director will focus on four main areas:
- Drive membership growth for both TMC and EdgePoint by clearly communicating the value of each community to prospective members.
- Lead recruitment conversations that inspire interest and commitment from senior leaders, including executives being welcomed into EdgePoint.
- Build strong relationships with current and prospective members, with special attention to C-suite and other high-profile leaders.
- Strengthen member engagement and experience through outreach, ongoing connection, and continuous improvement based on NPS and other indicators.
- Increase awareness of both communities through social media and industry networks.
- Develop and maintain faculty relationships across both communities.
- Facilitate sessions, host podcasts, and co-lead leadership development initiatives.
- Create and refine the vision, growth strategy, and member experience for both communities.
- Translate strategy into measurable goals, milestones, and progress tracking.
- Shape programming so it aligns with the premium positioning of both communities.
- Identify risks and opportunities that could affect growth or quality.
- Manage, coach, and hold the Community Manager accountable for operational delivery across both communities.
- Partner with the CEO on strategic priorities, major new initiatives, membership structure changes, pricing, annual budgeting, and resource allocation.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means both communities grow steadily month over month, become well known in talent and leadership circles, and scale without losing their culture or member experience. The Community Manager should run operations smoothly, relationships with influential prospects should be actively developed, and the communities should continue expanding in a sustainable way.
Candidate Profile
This role is best suited for someone with a strong background in HR, talent management, or organizational effectiveness and real credibility with senior people leaders. The company is looking for someone with at least 10 years of experience in the talent management space and prior senior leadership exposure.
The ideal candidate has experience building communities in professional or personal settings, a demonstrated ability to form meaningful relationships, and a history of owning outcomes as an entrepreneur or intrapreneur. They should be highly observant, people-centered, self-motivated, and comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution. Confidence in public-facing situations such as networking, speaking, facilitating, and hosting is essential.
Additional Qualities
This role suits someone who enjoys connecting people, naturally notices what matters to others, and leads with strong emotional intelligence. The right person will bring energy, ownership, and a transformative mindset to building something from the ground up.
