This remote contract opportunity is for an Excel specialist who can support the training of next-generation AI systems. The role focuses on providing high-quality, practical Excel knowledge so models can learn from real business use cases. Prior experience in AI is not necessary; the main requirement is strong domain expertise in Excel and operational problem-solving.

What You’ll Do

• Examine, refine, and improve advanced Excel files used in business operations, strategy, and data analysis.
• Share practical guidance, examples, and best practices for using Excel in operational and consulting settings, with no finance-focused work.
• Create, explain, and distribute templates or solutions that demonstrate advanced Excel thinking for AI training.
• Work with the client team to understand important workflows and the operational issues reflected in Excel documents.
• Assess and model realistic business scenarios by using advanced Excel functions and formulas.
• Prepare clear written and spoken communication, with accurate and thorough documentation.
• Help build data analysis case studies and operational examples that rely on strong Excel expertise.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong command of Microsoft Excel at an expert level, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and automation features.
• Demonstrated ability to build Excel-based solutions for business operations, strategy, or consulting work.
• Excellent analytical ability and experience solving complex business problems in non-financial contexts with Excel.
• Strong attention to detail along with clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to document workflows, develop training materials, and give practical, easy-to-follow feedback.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis, scenario planning, and process improvement using Excel.
• Self-driven and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Background

• Experience in business operations, strategy, or management consulting.
• Exposure to AI training or contributing domain expertise to machine learning datasets.
• Experience building Excel-driven tools or dashboards for operational excellence initiatives.
