Role overview

Honeywell is looking for an Estimator I to help build project estimates that are accurate, timely, and competitive. The role supports cost analysis, bid planning, and risk evaluation, contributing directly to project win rates, business expansion, and profitability.

What you will do

• Assist with preparing project estimates while maintaining speed and precision.
• Work with cross-functional teams to collect project details and convert them into cost estimates.
• Study drawings, specifications, and project plans to understand scope and flag possible risks.
• Help develop detailed estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
• Check subcontractor and vendor quotations for correctness and market competitiveness.
• Support senior estimators and estimating managers with day-to-day estimating tasks.
• Keep track of industry developments, market movement, and newer estimating tools and technologies.

What we are looking for

• Some exposure to estimating work; 0+ years of experience is acceptable.
• Working understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost components.
• Ability to use estimating software and related tools effectively.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Capability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and drawings.
• High attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
• Comfort working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines.
• Good organization and time-management skills.
