Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000 to $150,000, with bonus opportunities also available.

What the role involves

The estimator will evaluate construction plans and project documents, develop accurate cost projections, and prepare bid submissions for prospective clients. The position also involves working closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to support pricing accuracy and project budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Study drawings, specifications, and project documents to understand scope and requirements.
• Build cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment across construction projects.
• Partner with project managers and engineers to produce reliable pricing.
• Develop detailed bid packages and proposal documents for clients.
• Discuss pricing and contract terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Track project spending during execution to help keep work within budget.
• Assess change orders and estimate their financial impact.
• Use construction management software and related estimating tools.

Requirements

• Prior estimating experience in a relevant construction-related field.
• Demonstrated background in construction estimating and cost control.
• Working knowledge of construction and project management workflows.
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and contract paperwork.
• Strong analytical ability and careful attention to detail.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Comfort using estimating software and other job-related tools.
• Ability to work on your own and meet deadlines consistently.
