Role Overview
This position is for an Enterprise Services Provisioning, Testing, and Migration Engineer. The role is centred on configuring, provisioning, validating, and resolving issues in access network services for enterprise customers. It is a practical, technically demanding position that requires strong knowledge of carrier Ethernet, IP networking, routing, switching, escalation handling, and coordination with internal teams and field engineers.
The role involves direct interaction with global clients, regular communication on delivery progress, and the ability to work in agile environments. The job may require shift-based working and access to secure areas when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and configure access network services using both manual methods and automation utilities.
- Investigate provisioning breakdowns, determine the underlying cause, and suggest corrective measures.
- Provide remote support to field engineers during new service commissioning.
- Improve provisioning workflows to support fast and agile delivery timelines.
- Handle escalations within the team and keep stakeholders informed with clear updates.
- Carry out throughput and performance checks using tools such as Wireshark and Geoprove.
- Diagnose enterprise voice provisioning problems, including SIP PRI-related issues.
- Validate network changes and support service migrations while keeping disruption to a minimum.
- Communicate regularly with global customers regarding provisioning and testing progress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver complete enterprise network solutions.
- Follow workplace health and safety requirements at all times.
- Be available to work shift hours as required, including in secure rooms if necessary.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong command of Carrier Ethernet, IP management, routing, and switching.
- Working knowledge of VLAN encapsulation, MPLS, L2/L3 VPNs, BGP, OSPF, static routing, and IPv4/IPv6.
- Experience with enterprise voice switching and provisioning.
- Good troubleshooting ability with clear and structured issue explanation.
- Practical experience using packet tracing and analysis tools such as Wireshark and Geoprove.
- Comfort working with global customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage time, multitask, and work independently.
- Adaptability to flexible schedules and shift-based work.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive, solution-oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNA or CCNP certification.
- Exposure to scripting or Excel VBA for automation tasks.
