Engineer, M&E

Role Overview

This position is for an M&E Engineer based in Singapore, working on construction projects with a focus on coordinating mechanical and electrical works, managing technical submissions, and supporting site execution through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Track work progress closely and provide updates to the project manager.
• Manage the status of RFAs, RFIs, shop drawings, technical submissions, and the procurement, fabrication, and delivery of equipment and materials to ensure deadlines are met.
• Work with the client’s representatives, consultants, and subcontractors on technical coordination matters, including method statements, drawings, material submissions, samples, and site progress.
• Oversee site progress and installation quality in line with approved shop drawings, technical submissions, and equipment/material procurement, fabrication, and delivery schedules.
• Support the M&E Manager with evaluating progress claims and variations.
• Attend project review meetings, site meetings, design discussions, and other project-related coordination sessions.
• Conduct M&E technical meetings and document the resolution of technical issues.

Requirements

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering recognised by the PE Board Singapore.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience on projects in Singapore’s building and construction sector.
• Prior exposure to HDB projects or high-rise developments in an Electrical/Mechanical Engineering capacity.
• Strong technical grounding in electrical or mechanical systems, with practical, hands-on experience.
• Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with site teams for execution.
