About the Nursery
Bright Horizons Tingley nursery in Tingley is hiring an Early Years Housekeeper. Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a salary of £26,662.20 per year. Benefits include a 40% childcare discount for the first child, enhanced parental leave, 20 days of annual leave plus bank holidays and paid Christmas closure, with the option to buy extra leave. Role Overview
As part of the nursery team, you will help maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe setting for children, staff, and families. The role focuses on keeping key areas such as bathrooms and nappy-changing spaces clean throughout the day, handling daily laundry duties, and stepping in to assist with other nursery activities when needed, including support during mealtimes and cleaning equipment.
Key Duties
- Keep the nursery environment clean, tidy, and safe for children, colleagues, and families.
- Maintain a strong standard of cleanliness and hygiene in children’s bathrooms and nappy-changing areas throughout the day.
- Complete daily laundry tasks as required.
- Support mealtimes when needed.
- Assist with cleaning and care of nursery equipment.
- Help with other nursery duties as requested.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant will already have experience cleaning in either a domestic or commercial environment. You should hold Food Safety CIEH Level 2 or an equivalent qualification, and this must be completed successfully on the first day in post. A solid understanding of COSHH and wider health and safety practices is also required, along with strong communication skills for working with colleagues, children, and parents.
