Driver Needed - Mitre 10 MEGA Hornby

About the role

Smith's Mitre 10 Mega is a Christchurch family-run business focused on delivering outstanding service to every customer. This opportunity sits within the Hornby store, where the team supports both trade and DIY customers and works to make the store a preferred destination for shopping and supply needs.

The position is based in the Dispatch area and involves carrying out deliveries for trade and retail customers, moving stock between Smiths stores, and helping with order picking, loading, and unloading.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver goods to worksites and customer addresses.
• Make sure deliveries are completed accurately, on time, and according to the required specification.
• Help transfer stock between branches and collect goods from suppliers.
• Check that orders are received complete and maintain accurate records of order status and delivery schedules.
• Organise outgoing freight and collection runs.
• Support customers collecting goods from dispatch and ensure orders are correctly issued and invoiced.
• Assist with picking trade and retail orders, mainly in the Drive Thru area.
• Load and unload goods as required.

Working pattern

This is a Monday to Friday role with approximately 40 hours each week.
