Role overview
Brian Perry Civil is seeking a Document Controller to help keep vital project information well-structured, current, and easy to access. This position supports major civil construction projects by managing documents, assisting with governance and compliance needs, producing reports, administering systems, and contributing to process improvements. It suits someone who enjoys bringing order to complex information and helping project teams work more effectively.
Key responsibilities
- Look after document control platforms such as Procore, Aconex, and SharePoint.
- Make sure project records are filed correctly, kept up to date, and shared with the right people.
- Assist with governance activities, audits, stage-gate reviews, and compliance tasks.
- Build and maintain dashboards, visual reports, and regional reporting outputs.
- Train and support project staff, subcontractors, and new employees on systems and processes.
- Coordinate project handovers and maintain important registers and records.
What you need to bring
The ideal candidate will have a background in Construction Management, Project Management, Information Management, or a similar field, along with hands-on experience in document control or information management within construction. Strong familiarity with tools like Procore, Aconex, SharePoint, ProjectWise, or comparable systems is important. The role also calls for advanced reporting capability using Power BI and Microsoft Excel, excellent organisational ability, strong attention to detail, and the confidence to manage several priorities across different projects while building good working relationships.
