Role overview

The Document Controller sits within the In-Service Support (ISS) team and reports to the Configuration Management Lead. The role is responsible for handling the control, management and submission of project documentation across ISS activities.

Key duties

  • Manage the preparation, checking, approval and circulation of project documents.
  • Load approved files into the CMT and make them available to relevant stakeholders.
  • Keep metadata accurate, complete and consistent.
  • Maintain the project library in line with internal policies and procedures.
  • Control document versions to avoid inconsistencies or unauthorised changes.
  • Track document revisions, approvals and historical records.
  • Carry out quality assurance checks for document control.
  • Coordinate with document owners and workflow actioners to keep work moving.
  • Monitor workflow task completion and support timely submissions.
  • Maintain project correspondence registers.
  • Handle official correspondence and submittals with the client on behalf of project team members.

Essential requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in document control or records management.
  • Working knowledge of electronic document management systems and metadata practices.
