Descrizione del lavoro
Overview
WNBL is seeking a Digital Creative Producer to join the NBL Group content team in Greater Melbourne. This is a hands-on, varied role focused on keeping the league’s digital channels lively, consistent and aligned with the brand. You will work across short-form video, social content, graphics and game-day production, with plenty of scope to build your skills inside a genuine sports organisation.
About WNBL
Founded in 1981, the Women's National Basketball League is Australia’s longest-running elite female national competition. The league includes eight clubs across Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales and Queensland.
WNBL Championship Clubs: Adelaide Lightning, Bendigo Spirit, University of Canberra Capitals, Jayco Southside Flyers, Geelong United, Perth Lynx, Sydney Flames, Townsville Fire and Tasmania Jewels.
Role Overview
This position blends content production, social scheduling and creative support. No two days will be the same: one day may involve designing social graphics, another may require scheduling posts across TikTok and Instagram, and game nights may involve shooting behind-the-scenes footage and producing fast-turnaround content.
Content Production
- Edit and publish short-form video for Reels, TikToks and YouTube Shorts with attention to pace and brand presentation.
- Maintain branded templates for use across WNBL and wider NBL Group channels.
- Monitor social trends to keep the league’s creative output fresh and distinctive.
- Develop graphics, templates and other branded assets for WNBL channels.
- Create static and animated graphics for social, digital and broadcast use while following WNBL brand standards.
Social Media and Scheduling
- Plan, schedule and publish content across WNBL social accounts, particularly TikTok and Instagram, with the correct platform formatting.
- Upload website updates through the CMS accurately and within required timeframes.
- Produce social imagery that connects with current fans and helps attract new audiences.
- Collaborate closely with the Social Media Producer and Digital Content Producer from concept stage through to publication.
Game Day and Events
- Create live and reactive content during WNBL games, including graphics, clips and real-time posts.
- Prepare game-day assets in advance, such as matchup graphics, result templates, stat callouts and starting-five cards.
- Capture behind-the-scenes and player-focused content at games and events using a phone or supplied camera equipment.
- Support key WNBL events with planned social and graphic content delivered ahead of time.
What We're Looking For
You should be a social-media-savvy creator who is equally comfortable producing content. The ideal person can manage schedules, cover live events, react quickly on game day and also create polished graphics or edit short videos.
Additional Requirements
- Practical experience managing or contributing to social media accounts, preferably in sport, entertainment or media.
- Understanding of how content performs across TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook and YouTube, along with the ability to adapt content for each platform.
- Some experience producing graphics and short-form video for social output.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Ability to capture content at live events using a phone or camera and turn it around quickly.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet content schedules and game-day deadlines without constant follow-up.
Preferred Fit
A genuine interest in women’s sport and basketball is essential. Extensive experience is not required, but care and enthusiasm for the product you are helping to promote are important.
Why Join WNBL
- Be part of a major new chapter for women’s basketball as the WNBL enters a new era under the Wollemi Capital Group Syndicate and NBL.
- Help establish a strong ethical foundation built on integrity, fairness and professionalism during a period of transformation.
- Contribute to the growth of women’s sport and to better opportunities for athletes and communities across Australia.
Application Information
Candidates are asked to submit a resume and a cover letter explaining what attracts them to this role.
WNBL is committed to diversity and inclusion and welcomes applications from all qualified people, including First Nations peoples.
