About the Role
We are seeking a well-organised and driven Despatch Clerk to become part of the warehouse team in Salisbury, South Australia. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this position is central to keeping the despatch office running efficiently, supporting distribution workflows, and ensuring customers receive a high standard of service.
This opportunity will suit someone who enjoys a busy environment and likes being closely involved in warehouse communication and day-to-day coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Distribution Coordination
- Oversee daily delivery and distribution schedules.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to customer questions.
- Keep warehouse records accurate and complete general administrative duties.
- Sort, file, and circulate paperwork as needed.
- Work with transport carriers and arrange courier bookings.
- Deliver dependable, high-quality customer support.
Inventory and Consumables Management
- Check freight and transport invoices against delivery paperwork.
- Prepare freight documents and support drivers with dispatch requirements.
- Carry out cancellation processes and communicate with the National Customer Service Centre.
- Track and replenish stationery and other consumable items.
- Manage proof-of-delivery handling and follow-up.
After-Service Care
- Organise and issue OE fitment stock, including tyres and rims.
- Help with monthly stocktake activities.
- Keep despatch records accurate and up to date.
Reverse Logistics
- Coordinate customer returns in line with the Goods Return Policy.
- Process returns of new tyres for customer credit.
- Handle warranty tyre returns for review by Technical Field Services.
About You
You should bring strong administrative and organisational ability, along with excellent communication and customer service skills. Confidence in dealing with carriers, drivers, and internal stakeholders is important, as is a strong focus on accuracy and detail. The role also calls for someone who can work independently while contributing positively to a team. Experience in warehousing or logistics is preferred, though it is not mandatory.
