About the Role
The Department Administrator oversees the department’s day-to-day and strategic functions, covering budget planning, clinical operations, patient access, staff management, and productivity tracking. The role also contributes to shaping department-level initiatives that support the broader institute and enterprise goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects assigned by department leadership and ensure they are delivered effectively.
- Provide daily operational support across institutes and departments.
- Oversee business and operational activities within the institute or department.
- Apply CCAD operating procedures and work with management to ensure policies and processes are clearly understood and followed.
- Handle hiring decisions, employee placement, performance reviews, and corrective action processes.
- Explain policy and procedure updates and help communicate relevant changes to stakeholders.
- Manage departmental budgets and monitor spending differences and cost variances.
- Identify and drive cost-control initiatives that produce measurable outcomes.
- Help guide and monitor the department’s revenue cycle, including billing and reimbursement processes.
- Manage operational functions and identify risks, improvement opportunities, and performance gaps in patient access, patient experience, cost control, quality, employee engagement, and other core areas.
- Support implementation of strategic plans such as growth initiatives, new practice acquisitions, and marketing activities.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Follow CCAD standards, including the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies.
- Be prepared to take on other responsibilities and reporting lines as organizational needs evolve.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree is required. A master’s degree is preferred, ideally paired with a bachelor’s degree in a clinical or healthcare-related discipline.
Experience and Skills
- At least 5 years of relevant healthcare experience, including 3 or more years in healthcare operations management; alternatively, 7+ years of progressively responsible professional experience with bachelor’s-level education and supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical ability, with sound judgment and the capacity to work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong emotional intelligence and proven leadership capability.
- Ability to remain effective in a high-pressure environment and respond appropriately when needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Professional membership in a relevant national or international body is preferred, such as the American College of Healthcare Executives.

This role is based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, and is a full-time, onsite position.
