Role Summary

This full-time position is based in the Greater Chicago Area and is centered on demand planning and forecasting. The Demand Planner will evaluate demand patterns, build and maintain reliable forecasts, and coordinate closely with cross-functional partners to keep the demand plan aligned. The role also includes backup support for customer service order management and plays a key part in guiding the demand review stage of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

Key Responsibilities

• Study demand trends and translate them into accurate forecasts.
• Maintain and update demand plans so they remain dependable and current.
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment across the demand plan.
• Support the demand review cycle within the S&OP process.
• Provide secondary coverage for customer service order management tasks when needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in demand planning and demand forecasting, with a focus on supporting inventory and supply chain accuracy.
• Strong analytical ability to review data, identify patterns, and spot improvement opportunities.
• Working knowledge of production planning and how forecasts connect to manufacturing schedules.
• Clear communication skills for collaboration with colleagues and external partners.
• Comfort using relevant software and demand forecasting tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline.
• Experience in food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods is considered an advantage.
• Background in customer service is also a plus.
