About the role
Applegreen is hiring a Bakewell Manager for its Kilkenny location. This is a hands-on frontline position where you’ll help keep daily deli and food-service operations running smoothly while contributing to a customer-focused, team-oriented workplace.
The role suits someone who enjoys leading people, maintaining high standards, and working in a busy environment where service, food quality, and operational excellence all matter.
Key responsibilities
- Run the day-to-day Bakewell operation and make sure company standards are consistently met across food preparation, cooking, cleanliness, and customer service.
- Lead the team on shift, including hiring support, onboarding, training, rota planning, and performance oversight.
- Keep food hygiene and venue cleanliness to a high standard at all times.
- Ensure the site follows health, safety, and sanitation requirements.
- Support sales growth and work towards achieving sales targets.
Requirements
- Previous experience of 1 to 2 years in a similar position.
- Food experience is required.
- A positive, proactive attitude and strong communication skills.
- Comfort interacting with customers and helping create a good experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a supportive team culture.
- Confidence working in a fast-moving environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt as business needs change.
