Role Overview

The Day Porter is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and keeping assigned spaces in excellent condition by following established methods, procedures, and company/client standards for quality and safety. This position may involve frequent contact with the client.

Key Duties

• Check assigned areas during work and after completion to confirm all tasks meet site procedures, scope requirements, and Servicon standards.
• Take part in training on safety rules, cleaning methods, cost-efficient practices, and preventive care for equipment.
• Empty, clean, and wipe waste containers, and move trash and waste paper to approved disposal locations.
• Vacuum rugs and carpeted areas in offices, lobbies, and hallways.
• Dust and wipe office furniture, filing cabinets, fixtures, wall paneling, windowsills, air vents, wall grilles, and other horizontal surfaces.
• Remove marks and smears from vertical surfaces such as doors, doorframes, switches, entrance glass, and partitions.
• Clean spills in offices, stairwells, and public areas as needed, including damp mopping where required.
• Maintain the janitor’s closet in a clean, tidy, and organized condition.
• Sweep or dust mop hard flooring surfaces.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Success Profile

To do well in this role, you should bring custodial cleaning experience, good communication, strong organization, and the ability to work well with others while managing your time effectively.
