Role overview

Surfside is looking for a Customer Success Manager / Account Manager in Advertising and Marketing Technology. This position sits in a collaborative, fast-moving, team-oriented environment and is focused on building strong client relationships, evaluating and improving campaign performance, managing and growing strategic accounts, and handling complex workflows within the Operations team. The role is central to account retention and campaign implementation support, and it works closely with sales, clients, ad operations, and engineering to support client growth and revenue expansion across the US.

The person in this role will act as the primary contact between ad operations and clients, bringing product knowledge and real-time visibility into live campaigns on the Surfside platform. The goal is to strengthen platform adoption, drive revenue growth, and help clients use the technology effectively to meet and exceed their KPIs through reporting materials, optimization summaries, and business reviews.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and expand relationships with important clients and agency partners in a proactive way.
  • Review campaign performance data in depth, shape KPI-led measurement approaches, spot trends, optimize campaigns, and suggest opportunities for account growth.
  • Increase usage of Surfside’s self-serve platform by offering technical guidance and real-time campaign analysis.
  • Create strong case studies that support an ongoing test-and-learn approach across the category.
  • Translate data and trends into client-facing stories supported by reports, case studies, and practical optimization recommendations.
  • Identify moments to upsell and help convince clients to invest when relevant opportunities appear.
  • Support the sales team during the campaign lifecycle by participating in client calls for performance updates, reporting, and business reviews.
  • Build deep expertise in Surfside’s value proposition and product offering, including current and future capabilities.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in digital advertising, especially programmatic advertising, with a background in account management, customer success, reporting, or client services.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with advertisers on onsite and offsite retail media campaigns.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong ability to organize work, manage projects, present ideas, and communicate clearly.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, plus experience working with datasets and turning analysis into actionable recommendations.
  • Highly analytical, with a strong understanding of advertising performance metrics.
  • Interest in technology, media measurement, programmatic advertising, and consumer insights.
  • Experience using DSPs hands-on is preferred.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage several projects at the same time.
