About the Role

Purolator is looking for a courier relief professional to support package pickup and delivery operations in Dryden, Ontario. This role is centered on meeting daily service schedules, handling parcels efficiently, and addressing delivery issues as they come up on the road.

Work Schedule

This position offers 30 guaranteed hours per week. Shifts vary based on operational need, and open availability is required.

Role Overview

The courier is responsible for collecting and delivering customer shipments on time, scanning items at each stage of movement, and supporting smooth depot operations. The job also includes resolving issues during routes in coordination with dispatch and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and deliver customer packages according to the day’s pickup and delivery timetable.
  • Scan parcels and mail when received, delivered, or returned to the depot at the end of the day.
  • Work with dispatch and customers to address road issues and delivery-related problems as they occur.
  • Carry out daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks using a package scanner and the electronic Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (E-DVIR).

Education and Experience

Applicants should have completed high school, along with relevant vocational training. A valid Class 5 driver’s license is required. The role calls for 3 years of driving experience and a clean driving record for operating delivery vehicles.
