Key duties

• Keep an eye on security systems and identify unusual or suspicious activity
• Act promptly when incidents or possible threats arise
• Record events carefully and prepare detailed incident reports
• Carry out regular foot patrols to help protect the property
• Manage entry to restricted areas and verify visitor identity
• Review security systems for weaknesses or technical issues
• Coordinate with police or other authorities during serious events or emergencies

Requirements

• You must be legally allowed to work in Canada
• A valid security licence is required
• First aid certification is mentioned as an asset/required item
• You should be able to write clear, detailed reports
• Good vision and the ability to stay focused for long periods are important
