About the role
This position sits within Accenture’s Global Legal Network, an international team spread across 10 countries that delivers legal support services with a strong focus on value, innovation, speed, and operational efficiency. The role works closely with sales, delivery, account, and commercial stakeholders to support negotiation, drafting, and day-to-day management of client contracts.
Work level and scope
This position involves working through moderately complex issues, with guidance needed when new methods or procedures must be determined. The role follows strategic direction from senior management, interacts with supervisors, peers, and client-side or internal management, and can affect team-level decisions. It may involve leading small work efforts or small teams within a client or Accenture setting.
Key responsibilities
- Assist contract management teams across different projects and accounts, and coordinate with account, client commercial, and business stakeholders to understand priorities, account goals, and opportunities.
- Work alongside contract management professionals across multiple projects, accounts, and geographic locations.
- Help identify, raise, and resolve commercial and contractual risks and issues in partnership with contract management and project management teams, aiming for the best possible result for all parties.
- Contribute to pre-award sales support, participate in discussions with delivery teams on deal shaping and contract outcomes, and assist with drafting contract documents.
- Support a client-facing function that plays an important role in building trusted relationships with client counterparts.
Education and membership
A bachelor’s degree is required. Membership in World Commerce and Contracting (formerly IACCM) or the National Contract Management Association (NCMA), along with a professional certification, is considered an advantage.
Experience and work requirements
At least 4 years of relevant contract management experience is required. The role may involve travel. Strong English fluency is required, and knowledge of additional languages may be needed depending on the geography supported.
Knowledge and professional strengths
- Good understanding of contract management practices and commercial contracting fundamentals.
- Familiarity with subcontracting practices and standard contractual terms and conditions.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with client executives at all levels.
- Comfort working across cultures, teams, and locations in a global organization.
- Capacity to work with diverse perspectives while showing inclusion, respect, and professionalism.
- Leadership presence combined with strong teamwork, persuasion, and stakeholder management skills.
