Role Overview
A leading healthcare organization in Qatar is looking for an accomplished Consultant Radiologist to provide expert diagnostic imaging services. The role involves interpreting a broad spectrum of studies, supporting clinical teams with specialist input, and contributing to high-quality patient care in a collaborative hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and provide detailed reports on a broad mix of imaging investigations, such as X-rays, ultrasound, CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, and mammography where relevant.
- Carry out image-guided diagnostic work and minimally invasive procedures when appropriately credentialed.
- Advise referring clinicians on imaging results and help determine the most suitable imaging approach for patients.
- Deliver precise, prompt, and clinically useful radiology reports.
- Take part in multidisciplinary team discussions and contribute to treatment and management planning.
- Follow radiation protection standards and uphold quality assurance and infection prevention practices.
- Guide, support, and oversee junior radiologists, residents, radiographers, and other allied health staff.
- Engage in audits, continuing education, research activities, and quality improvement efforts.
- Maintain complete medical documentation and adhere to hospital procedures, clinical governance requirements, and regulatory rules.
Requirements
- MBBS/MD or an equivalent medical degree.
- Board certification or an equivalent recognized consultant-level qualification in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Additional fellowship or subspecialty training is beneficial, especially in musculoskeletal radiology, neuroradiology, body imaging, breast imaging, pediatric radiology, or interventional radiology.
- At least 5 to 10 years of post-specialization experience working at consultant level.
- Eligible for Qatar medical licensure, or able to obtain it.
- Strong ability to interpret complex imaging across multiple modalities.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and clinical judgment skills.
- Strong commitment to evidence-based, patient-focused, high-quality care.
- Preference may be given to PQR Tier 1 and Tier 2 professionals.
- Prior experience in internationally accredited hospitals or tertiary care centers is highly desirable.
- Subspecialty experience in breast imaging, neuroradiology, musculoskeletal radiology, or interventional radiology is an added benefit.
