About Us

We. operates at the meeting point of technology and human experience, helping organizations connect what they build with how people actually use and feel about it. The company believes that even in complex situations such as crises, new technologies, or major organizational change, people are usually seeking trust, connection, safety, or purpose. By understanding those underlying needs, the organization aims to create meaningful progress.

About the Role

The Compensation Analyst is an individual contributor who supports the administration, delivery, and ongoing refinement of the company’s compensation programs and processes. The role uses strong analytical skills and a solid base of compensation knowledge to assess pay practices, review market and internal data, and assist with compensation decisions.

This position works closely with the Senior Manager, Compensation, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and HRIS to support work such as job architecture, market pricing, annual compensation cycles, pay equity analysis support, and compensation process improvements. The role helps ensure compensation programs are data-driven, operationally sound, and consistent with internal policies and applicable regulations.

This opportunity is intended for a compensation professional with relevant experience who wants to expand subject matter expertise, strengthen analytical capabilities, and take on broader responsibility over time.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in running and improving compensation programs, structures, tools, and related workflows.
  • Support job evaluation, job leveling, FLSA reviews, and salary range assessments to help maintain internal fairness, market competitiveness, and compliance.
  • Review internal compensation data and external market information to inform hiring, promotion, and other pay-related decisions.
  • Work with the Senior Manager, Compensation, HR Business Partners, and Talent Acquisition to provide analysis for compensation questions, offers, and pay recommendations.
  • Support pay equity work through data gathering, validation, reporting, and summarizing findings with Compensation, HRIS, and Finance.
  • Use advanced Excel analysis and modeling to spot trends, concerns, and opportunities in pay, internal alignment, and program effectiveness.
  • Prepare data, supporting documents, and reports for compensation reviews, audits, and similar analyses.
  • Help present findings and insights in a clear, structured way for stakeholders.
  • Provide analytical support for workforce planning related to merit, promotions, and organizational change scenarios.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets, models, and reporting tools used for cost analysis, pay impact review, and compensation planning.
  • Convert data into concise summaries and visuals for team discussions and stakeholder reviews.
  • Take part in compensation surveys and support vendor submissions, analysis, and administrative follow-up.
  • Help with market pricing, geographic differentials, pay transparency preparation, and compensation process improvements.
  • Support consistent and compliant administration of compensation programs through audits, reporting, and process controls.
  • Look for ways to improve compensation reporting, documentation, workflows, and systems in coordination with Compensation and HRIS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Usually 2 or more years of compensation experience, or comparable analytical experience in HR, Total Rewards, Finance, or a similar area.
  • Working knowledge of compensation concepts such as market pricing, salary structures, job leveling, and compensation administration.
  • Strong Excel skills, including formulas, data manipulation, and analysis.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving ability, with comfort organizing data and supporting recommendations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional partners.
  • Experience with compensation analysis, salary benchmarking, or annual compensation cycle support is preferred.
  • Exposure to pay equity analysis support, workforce planning, or compensation reporting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HRIS tools and reporting environments, such as Workday or similar systems, is preferred.
  • Experience with compensation survey platforms and market data sources is preferred.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities and deadlines is preferred.
  • Strong organization and project management skills, along with interest in expanding compensation expertise over time, are preferred.
