Cleaning Attendant - 1st Shift

Role Overview

This full-time Cleaning Attendant position is based in Albany, Georgia, at 1809 Turbine Lane, PO Box 3567, 31721. The role supports office cleanliness and general upkeep for a manufacturing environment, and the position reports to the Office Manager.

What You Will Do

You will be responsible for keeping the office spaces clean, organized, and presentable throughout the day. The job includes routine cleaning tasks as well as periodic maintenance duties.

• Remove waste from trash cans on a daily basis.
• Dust desks, tables, the reception area, and other office surfaces.
• Vacuum office areas and keep floors tidy.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Wipe down windows, countertops, and other frequently used surfaces.
• Clean and maintain the company kitchen area.
• On a scheduled basis, mop tiled flooring and dust window blinds.
• Keep cleaning supplies stocked and track inventory accurately.
• Follow company rules, procedures, and workplace standards.
• Take on other related tasks as assigned by management.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance at all times and be comfortable handling routine janitorial work in an office and plant-related setting.

Preferred Experience and Skills

While not mandatory, candidates with prior janitorial experience and the ability to monitor cleaning supply inventory are preferred. Familiarity with operating cleaning equipment is also beneficial.

Physical Requirements

This role involves regular standing, walking, speaking, and hearing. It also requires frequent use of the hands and arms for reaching, handling, and feeling, along with bending, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as needed. Sitting is occasional. The job requires lifting and moving up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Some duties may take place in the plant area. In that environment, you may be exposed to moving machinery, wet or humid conditions, elevated work areas, fumes or airborne particles, vibration, and loud noise levels.
