RETREATURE is a fast-growing direct-to-consumer brand focused on recovery and wellness. The company creates and sells premium products such as ice baths, saunas, and advanced cooling systems that help athletes, biohackers, and health-conscious people improve recovery and performance.

This is a lean, ambitious team in a high-growth phase. The business is looking for someone who can build the operational backbone needed to support that expansion.

Role overview

As Chief Operating Officer, you will work closely with the CEO and own the full operational side of the business. Your mission is to create the systems, processes, and teams that make growth repeatable and scalable across supply chain, fulfillment, and customer experience.

You should bring an entrepreneurial mindset, a strong bias for action, and the willingness to roll up your sleeves in a young company where execution matters as much as strategy.

Core responsibilities

In this role, you will lead day-to-day operations and help shape the company’s next stage of growth.

• Take full ownership of operational activities, including supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, and customer service.
• Design and improve scalable workflows across purchasing, warehousing, and delivery.
• Negotiate with and manage supplier and partner relationships, especially across Asia and Europe.
• Lead and expand the customer support function, including the use of AI-enabled tools.
• Set up KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to support data-driven decisions.
• Recruit, manage, and develop operational teams.
• Work side by side with the CEO on strategic initiatives such as product launches, expansion, and partnerships.
• Own budgeting and profit-and-loss responsibility for the operations function.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and experience scaling operations in a fast-moving environment.

• 3–7+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, or business development, preferably in e-commerce or D2C.
• Proven track record of building and scaling operational processes in a growth-oriented company.
• A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to contribute both strategically and operationally.
• Experience in supplier management and international sourcing.
• Strong analytical mindset with an interest in metrics, KPIs, and ongoing improvement.
• Excellent communication skills in both German and English.
• Entrepreneurial drive and a desire to build something meaningful rather than simply take on a role.
• Passion for fitness, recovery, wellness, or health tech is a strong advantage.

• Competitive base salary, based on experience and agreement.
• Equity participation through company shares with a 4-year vesting schedule, including a 1-year cliff and monthly vesting after that.

Additional information

Location is Berlin, Germany. The role is remote-first with periodic on-site presence in Berlin. Employment is full-time.
